Description
The text of “Kouraj” speaks of unity in a time of division…
Translation of Haitian Creole text:
Hold tight, don’t let go!
Have courage, dear friends. Have courage!
Divided nations are bound to fall.
What’s the use of cruelty, fighting and enemies?
Hatred and severance, those are poison for peace.
Greed and injustice, those are seeds for war.
You can’t rush the dawn.
With a lot of patience, we will see the navel of an ant.*
Step by step, with respect, we will move forward;
Life will blossom when we love one another.
Take heart, dear friends! Keep the faith!
Let’s open our hearts, hear and listen to these words of wisdom.
Those who forgive will find consolation;
Those who sow hope will harvest life;
Those who lead a life of love will find joy;
All these sentiments are paths to salvation.
