Description

All aboard the Tap-Tap! This vibrant piece is inspired by the beautifully colorful buses and taxis in Haiti. The tap-tap is used as a metaphor encouraging people to “jump on the bus” and not let opportunities pass them by. It is rhythmically fun and upbeat, while also conveying a strong message of motivation and encouragement. This piece will get you excited about life!

Translation of Haitian Creole text:

Hurry up, walk quickly!
Lift your feet up and don’t miss it,
Wake up, take advantage,
The Tap-Tap is warming up!

If your legs are short, get a head start;
The best time is now,
Don’t say you didn’t know,
Those who are wise are those who lead.

Don’t let time pass you by,
It’s time for you to get on board,
The Tap-Tap is leaving now,
It is time for us to go!…
